After a glorious weekend, I think today is officially the most beautiful day of the year. I can't wait to get outside.
In case you need some inspiration, here are some things that you could be doing RIGHT NOW to celebrate this beautiful day:
1) Take a walk, run, or bike ride along any of the 41 miles of greenways our lovely town has to offer.
2) Head to downtown and shop around Market Square and Gay Street. Grab a treat at Rita's on Market Square, which opened for the season this weekend. Or get a sandwich at Lenny's or Steamboat and have an impromptu picnic on the square.
3) Enjoy a nice glass of wine or chilly beer on a fabulous outdoor patio. If you don't have your own patio, how about the digs at Urban Bar in the Old City, Barleys in the Old City, Downtown Grill and Brewery on Gay Street, Nama in Bearden or Toddy's in Bearden?
If these suggestions don't tickle your fancy, what are you planning on doing on this loveliest of days?

this weekend has been some pretty awesome weather! We have been cruising with the top down on the S2K and tonight probably going to eat out on the patio and maybe crank up the grill!
i'll be playing with the dog and walking through the neighborhood. today officially marks the first day i've worn sandals this year. yeehaw!
I'm going to play with Scout, the little black dog I found. I haven't seen her since she went to stay with a foster family about a week ago. She's doing well, by the way, and I can't wait to see her precious little face.
After, I'd like to go on a bike ride. mmmm.
I made my first visit of the season to the Crown and Goose beer garden on Saturday. It was divine, just like the weather.
After 18 inches of snow, or however much there was in NY, this is perfect weather to come home to.
I am about to get outside for a run. I am tired today and under-motivated but the sunshine is telling me that it will be okay!
This week is going to be gorgeous. Going to start some seedlings and get 'em hardy.
rollerblade/bike ride at Seqoyah Hills!!
By week, I meant "up until Tuesday," clearly.
